Only days into Al - Zalam's severance campaign, an attempt was made to cause mass casualties at the city's mosque in an attempt to push fear into the locals. United States Army Special Operations Command intelligence successfully intercepted multiple calls and messages regarding their next move. USASOC deemed the intercepted messages enough intelligence to deploy Crimson Company’s ODA teams to conduct missions in Syria, designating it Operation: Guardian Angel. Three ODA teams successfully defended Anizay's mosque while countless Al - Zalam insurgents attempted to breach the mosque's compound to kill innocent civilians and U.S forces.

Following the enhanced interrogation of Numan ibn Hadid, a known associate and operational lieutenant within the terrorist network Ansar Al-Zalam, we have acquired credible intelligence pointing to the existence of several suspected bomb-making facilities in Syria. The subject, under controlled and coercive questioning, disclosed actionable information regarding the group’s logistical operations and infrastructure. Crimson Company coordinated with Air Force Special Tactics Teams to conduct a rapid interdiction, prioritizing swift disruption of operational capabilities and secure evidence collection for follow-on exploitation.
